The saves are the same and you can switch between versions as you like without losing saves. Hell, I loaded up my original saves from when I first got the game in the RT patch with no issue, and was still able to load those after loading the same playthrough on the old branch. But when I'm trying to escape game in the middle of chapter it offers me to save and keep the loot I've found. But when I'm pushing "ok" button it writes a message "progress cannot be saved" and I can't keep the loot I found. But when I'm playing in co-op with my girlfriend, she can save her loot fine every time she escapes the game. I do of course, but I don’t love the game. I think I’ll be the one asking them to play now. Because this is my new favourite thing.
